Hailing from Oakland, California, Tigran Mkhitaryan (aka Mimosa) is an electronic DJ and producer, blending dubstep and glitch hop into his eclectic sound.

Mimosa began producing music at 17 and quickly became a popular name on the West Coast, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in electronic music. He played alongside dubstep pioneers Benga and Skream, as well as the hugely influential Flying Lotus and Glitch Mob.

Mimosa has played shows all across the US, including a headline tour in 2013, with sold out shows in both Denver and Boston. Mimosa regularly performs at some of the biggest festivals in the country, including Coachella, Burning Man, Decibel Festival and Red Rocks Amphitheater. He is quickly becoming known for his relentless stage performances, continuous energy, and crowd engaging presence.

Mimosa released his full length debut album, “Sanctuary,” in 2011, alongside several additional EPs, and started his own label, False Idol Musik. He is gaining international attention as collaborations with Marine Parade’s Panty Raid are turning heads in the UK and airplay on Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC Radio 1 show is a global affair. Following the 2014 release of “Equilibrium,” Mimosa embarked on a headline tour across the US. He recently began moving his music towards more experimental avenues which has been generously received by new and old fans alike.
